Till some time back Shreya was quite eager to come up with her solo album. Her fans were excited as not only they were expecting some great songs on such a album but they were also waiting to see her on her promo videos. But it seems that's not gonna happen; at least in the near future.
Looking at the commercial prospect of solo albums released in India, Shreya has decided to drop the idea of any such solo venture. Instead she wants to put up her singles on her soon to be released website - http://www.shreyaghoshal.com/
This is what SG says,"The Indian music market is very film oriented, and any other creative music venture receives no support. It is difficult to be creative in such an environment. And since I’m not good at doing PR for my music, I’d rather do singles and put them on my website.
Anyone who’s interested in my kind of music can pick it up from there. Singing in Hindi is nice, but restrictive. Regional languages are more rhythmic, have a different tone and sound, making it more interesting" .

After saying no to movies; Shreya has said no to solo albums - two dissappointments in a row for SG fans.
