Shreya Ghoshal Bags Mirchi

Heat was further added to the awards kitty of the hottest singer of the country when Shreya Ghoshal won a Mirchi at the Royal Stag Mirchi Awards, held at Mumbai recently, for her power-packed rendition of the raunchy 'Chikni Chameli' from Agneepath. 

Another song of hers, 'Radha' - a monstrous hit of 2012, won the 'Worldwide Listeners' Choice Song of the Year' award.

Additionally, Agneepath's music album got the award for 'Album of the year'.

Surprisingly, this is Shreya's first win in the five editions of Mirchi Awards(Hindi) held until now.

Besides Zee Cine and Mirchi, Shreya also won the below awards for 2012:

• 2012 Bangla Mirchi Music Award for "Jaani Dekha Hobe"
• 2012 Asiavision Award for Best Female Playback Singer - "Cham Cham" (Mallu Singh) and "Nilave Nilave" (Chattakaari)
• 2012 People's Choice Award for Best Playback Singer - "Chikini Chameli" (Agneepath)
• 2012 MAA Music Award for Best Playback Singer - "Chali Chaliga"(Mr.Perfect) and "Seeta Seemantham" (Sri Rama Rajyam)
