Shreya Ghoshal Makes it to the "People Who Have an Impact on Mumbai" list

Yesterday the DNA group released a list of 50 top personalities who made a positive impact on Mumbai. Our princess, Shreya Ghoshal, makes it to the list. She is at #49. Lower down the ranking but looking at her age that's also quite commendable.

Here's how DNA describes her, "Few people have the kind of freshness Shreya Ghoshal has brought to Bollywood. So firmly has she cemented her position in the industry that today she is perhaps the only choice when it comes to romantic numbers. Her range, though, goes beyond Hindi films to encompass regional language cinema, in particular Assamese, Bengali, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi and Tamil, where she is in as much demand as in Bollywood.

Her playback career began with her winning the Sa Re Ga Ma contest. Soon came Devdas, for which she received two awards, one for best female playback singer and the RD Burman award for new music talent. Since then she has sung in more than 140 films, and has won four National Film Awards and two other film Awards. She remains one of the most honoured playback singers in Indian cinema".

Congrats Shreya!!
