Dear Shreya,
At onset I will proclaim that "you are simply the best!!
You have that unique mix of sweetness and sensuality in your divine voice which is so rare. There is that unique spark in your voice which hits you whenever your songs are heard.
And..Shreya you and your golden voice is one super combo of Alisha, Lataji and Ashaji!! Really it’s true. I have arrived at this conclusion after repeated hearings of your songs of varying hues like the ones below:
Jaadu Hai Nasha Hai(Jism)Bairee Piya(Devdas)Sawar Gayi(Saawariya)Chalo(Jism), Chahle Aao Saiya(Khoya Khoya Chand), Yeh Ishk Haye(Jab We Met)O saathi re (Omkara)Soona Soona(Krishna Cottage)Mujhe Tumse Mohabbat Hai (Tumsa Nahi Dekha)Shikdum (Dhoom)Thoda Sa Thehro(Victoria NO. 203Main Chali(Black & Cat) U, Me Aur Hum(Title Track)Jee Le (U, Me Aur Hum)Barso Re(Guru)
I am 100% sure you will agree to that? Is that correct Shreya?
You are so awesomely versatile Shreya. You can be sweet, you can be husky and you can be so deeply emotive! The best part about your singing, besides, ofcourse your voice, is the way you blend yourself with the situation of the song, with the chracter. I still rememeber you saying once that " I sing for the character more than the actress". That's perhaps one of the reasons why your singing adds life and brilliance to songs of virtually all genres.
And you are a great performer too...on stage as well as your TV shows.
One thing more, you are one Indian singer who looks absolutely cool and trendy- just the way one should be!!
I want to congratulate you for your terrific screen presence in VOI Chote Ustaad!! Baby you rock!! Now...we want to see you in Sare Gama Pa - the show where the singer in you actually took birth.
Please keep this sweetness and success going. We really look forward a lot from this down to earth personality who has taken the global Indian music scene by storm.
All the best and God bless!
